Gradiant. Smart Farming

Gradiant

Project Description

The main objective of the project is to seek funding to modernize livestock farms by developing a series of tools to improve their management at various levels, through data capture and processing to obtain information to improve decision-making on farms.

Gradiant’s experience in robust and low power consumption communications systems allows us to interconnect sensors and IoT devices adaptable to different types of farms, secure data from these farms or public management systems, and bring connectivity to the open sea thanks to our developments in Advanced Communications.

On the one hand, it is intended to improve the monitoring of the animals in order to have detailed data on their behaviour. The analysis of these data will allow the extraction of activity patterns and the consequent detection of anomalies, that is, unusual behaviour that serves as indicators of diseases, periods of heat or different degrees of discomfort. In addition, this monitoring will make it possible to keep a record of the animal’s evolution during the process it is going through in the production company (whether it is fattening, breeding or other types). This monitoring is carried out both through the use of systems placed on the animals or in their environment and through environmental sensors and external information sources.

On the other hand, the aim is to improve the management of resources on the farms, adding new systems for capturing data on infrastructure and resources, which will allow an analysis and optimization of their use.
