BIOSTATECH, is a biostatistics spin-off from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) that started its activities in March 2012.

The interdisciplinary nature of the founding team, and its network of connections and prestigious collaborators allow them to structure a base of activities that guarantees:

  • Understanding the problem
  • The search for the best solution
  • A professional development
  • The quality of the results
  • The enhancement of the final product

In addition, they have a series of products and advisory services, which can be adapted to the different stages of development of any research. Similarly, it has various training products in statistical tools, techniques and methods that are adapted to the needs of its clients, from a basic level to advanced levels, and even specialized in specific areas of knowledge.

BIOSTATECH is committed to quality and innovation, in continuous development towards the improvement of knowledge and the application of statistics.

Collaborator :

  • Stat Wars: the awakening of data: Scientific popularization project financed by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT). Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. Period: 2017-2018
  • New statistical and computational tools applied to research in Health, Sport and Environment. Period: 2017-2018

Research team in :

  • Development of flexible Joint Modelling techniques aimed at research into diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. Period: 2015-2017
  • Inference in structured additive regression models (STAR) with extensions to multivariate responses Applications in biomedicine.
  • Biostatnet: We face biostatistical research challenges with international projection (Dynamisation actions – Networks of excellence).
