GLECEX (Global and Ecofriendly Natural Extracts S.L.) is a biotechnology company that offers advanced services to companies in the food, cosmetic and nutraceutical sectors based on its high technological and innovative capacity.

It is made up of a multidisciplinary team, including doctors in food technology and chemistry and agricultural engineers, with extensive experience and specialization in R&D&I services and project management. It is recognized as an innovative SME by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.

The interdisciplinary capacity of our scientific team allows us to develop turnkey solutions for the specific needs of each company and to provide personalized services with a high technological content.

“Enhance Microalgae” “High-added value industrial opportunities for microalgae in the Atlantic Area” (2017-2020): Call Atlantic Area, financed by the European Union. Participation with a consortium led by the technology centre Anfaco Cecopesca and in collaboration with Swansea University (United Kingdom), University of Manchester (United Kingdom), Centro Interdisciplinar de Investigaçao marinha e ambiental (Portugal), Universidade da Coruña, Université de la Rochelle (France), Teagasc Food Research Centre (Ireland), International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (Portugal).

“Development of new formulations of natural extracts enhanced with bioactive mixtures obtained from endemic species of Sub-Saharan Africa” (2014-2017): Project supported by the Torres Quevedo programme and the European Social Fund. Code: PTQ-13-06221.

“Cosmetiinova” “New technological tools for the development of products in natural cosmetics”. (2013-2015):Project subsidized within the call Conecta Pymes of the Xunta de Galicia in collaboration with a consortium formed with four other companies (Iuvenor Lab, Caroi’Line Cosmética, Hifas da Terra and Organistry) and two university research groups (University of A Coruña and University of Vigo).
