The biotechnology sector of Galicia and Northern Portugal is largely made up of Startups; leading companies not only at a regional level, but also at a national and international level, thanks to the innovative products and services they provide.<\/p>\n

Many of these companies have emerged in recent years from the scientific and research field or as spin-outs of other companies and have given rise to remarkably successful business initiatives.<\/p>\n

Some of these Startups are especially active in the field of research, which translates into the development of new lines of business or biotechnological activities that seek financing for their development. Their projects appear reflected in the \u201cbio projects\u201d section of this Portal.<\/p>\n
